My working life started as an apprentice draughtsman with a company manufacturing acoustic products, finishing with a Full Technological Certificate in Research & Development, then returning to full time education studying Work Study & Management Services before becoming Organisation & Methods Officer. I joined Flextraction in 2000 and for a number of years looked after the accounts. Latterly, I have been responsible for product databases and the commercial services functions within the company.

    After Sales Manager

I originally joined Flextraction in May 2008 as a Sales Office Assistant covering sales and administration. I held a NEBOSH qualification and Health & Safety experience from previous employment, which was added to by sitting the P604 and W201 courses.

With 11 years knowledge of LEV systems, and having managed the statistical data and LEV Rolling Revenue schedule, I moved onto new adventures as a Sales & Marketing Manager and completed the CIM Digital & Marketing Diploma and expanded my knowledge in Occupational Hygiene.

Fast forward 3 years and I have returned to Flextraction to a new after sales department, where my role now includes managing customer’s replacement filters, LEV Thorough Examination & Testing and our Downflow Booth Service Packages. I recently qualified and received the BOHS P601- Thorough Examination & Testing of Local Exhaust Ventilation Systems qualification.

I have always had a love of horses, and after leaving school at 16 I worked around the UK in Polo and Hunting yards before moving to America 1993 – 1999 where I trained polo ponies for professional polo players, and travelled to 20 different states.

I live in Oakham, 10 miles from Melton Mowbray with my son Charlie, who is a huge football fan, and plays for Cottesmore AFC which is where I spend most of my weekends! I have been a committee member for a number of years, and have recently been appointed club secretary too, so lots of new adventures ahead!

I am looking forward to getting back in touch with some old customers and working with new ones.
